Press ReleaseFAQCompany ProfileContact UsDownloadSupportProductHomeWYSE Biometrics Systems Pvt. Ltd. is in the vanguards of developing security solutions for the information technology (IT) industry. The company started operations in 1993 with the designing and manufacturing of electronic authentication devices and custom made electronics products. Its entry was marked by Sentry hardware lock, a software piracy prevention device, which proved to be a major success, and boon to the emerging software industry, thereby emerging as the flagship brand. Encouraged by the early success, the company went on to develop an entire range of software protection devices with different applications.Hardware Locks, Fingerprint Access Control, Digital Certificate Storage from WYSEWith a team of more than 15 engineers , WYSE continues to make large investments in R&D to refine our technology and develop new biometric products and solutions. This dedication to excellence in R&D allowed the company to acquire and claim excellent reputation for reliability and customer support.WYSE has earned invaluable experience gained in these real life projects under Indian working environment, which made a considerable impact on the quality and reliability of its core hardware technology and software algorithms.2. A Strong Expertise in Biometrics3.1 Image acquisition processMany external factors have a direct impact on the acquisition process and the image quality required to guarantee high performance in terms of false rejects (denial of access) and false acceptance (breach of security). Two methods can be used to capture fingerprints:A. DIRECT capture of the fingerprint: full image acquisition of the finger in contact with the acquisition surface. B. FRAME capture of the fingerprint: partial image acquisition while users are swiping their fingers along the sensor, followed by image reconstruction. Most fingerprint acquisition techniques and solutions use one of these methods. While the direct capture provides a maximum comfort for the end-user, the frame capture presents advantages in term of reduced cost, but requires high technical constraints with ergonomics, image acquisition speed, user enrolment procedure, image reconstruction requiring distortion compensation, and data memory (required to reconstruct the original image).© 2007 WYSE Biometric Systems Pvt.
